Carter Starter Pegs

I have tried both types of tuning pegs from George L to replace a worn out peg. While the 3/32 is really very close, neither fit my Carter Starter. Has anyone else had this problem or can suggest a solution? I would very much like to sell the guitar, but feel I cannot until I sort this.
