Indeed Eddie, I played acoustics, Bass and other guitars as well as arranged and engineered a LOT of their material.. In my sitting room on a 24 track 2" at 30ips.
Sean and the rest of the band played the majority of the instruments, but BIAB was the Drum kit and piano.
I believe Diedre was the girl fiddlers name, but initially there were two girls on fiddle.
As for studios, I was of some influence in the studio in Granard, advising Chuck's "gossoon" as what to use re software etc. I did help with his learning of Logic and it's plugins and general application.
At that time I was an Instructor working for the Dept of Education and seconded to the Academy of Music Technology and Performing arts in Mullingar.
As for the recording scene in Ireland, I've had my hand in the starting and development of many a studio. I stood in a field in Co Tyrone and looked at a chicken barn and "laid " out the design structure of Gene's place. Designed and originated "Castle Sound" in the Lyric in Blaney. (Later to be re-named "Big Tom's Studios)
I stood in the pouring rain in Athlone in John (Cha) Nicholson's back garden and drew out the plans for Midland Sound Studios and consequently helped construct and run them.
I've helped with the layout of Fiona, and made technical suggestions to many, too many to list or even recall..
All eventually to be revealed in my autobiographical book "Six Days on the Road" (Almost was "Sick Days" etc) to see the light of day sometime mid 2011.
I've related many an urban myth and even true ones, but renamed the culprits i.e. Thomas Mor, and Joe O'Maddy from Glennaneil. Locky Toeman, Larry Cleverpig and so on..not to forget Seamus Andriod..

The "Ben Lang" is also in prolific useage along with my speciality "Cant" (Romany).
