Anyone know this name

Did a gig last night, guy got quite excited,(not at my playing) said he's not seen a Sho Bud for years when he played with a band that was mostly on tour in Europe.
Said the steelie was a Barry Gaskill, and althou the name rings a bell, I can't put a face to it, some one must have known him.

I'm sure he's a Liverpool guy, or at least that area. Quite (actually, make that "very") good. Barry worked around the country in workies clubs. Saw him in the north-east about 35 years ago. One of my pals of that era (Ian McCulloch - used to have a D-10 ShoBud, but returned to super-strat guitar playing) knew him better.

Slim. Barry (Baz) was a regular member/poster on here up until a couple of years ago, brilliant steelie, been on the scene for years,played with lots of N/E bands and toured with many pro outfits. Played with Talon, the Eagles tribute band (and did a great job)
Dont quote me but I heard health hadn't been brilliant of late.
He did a set at Newbury years ago,played C6th when a lot of us just carried it around for the looks (me included lol)

Im sure JD will chip in, he and Barry are mates and I think they keep in touch.

Slim,check through your Newbury tape collection, Barry played there, think the C6th number he did was the Preacher, hot hot stuff.

Thanks guy's, now I see him on u tube it clicks into place, but Barry was one of the earley guy's that was just a name to me, never got to talk to him so it never locked in the old brain, and at my age I cant go beck that far and remember detailes.

Slim, I reckon Baz Gas is still lurkin in the background on here......... He was touring for ages with the "Country Legends" show amazing musicians (John Pettifer did I spell that righ? ) Lead guitar one of the very best I have heard....
Don`t be fooled by ol Baz he had some Ear trouble but I think like the rest of us he has learned to live with it! I am sure he gets more gigs than any of us........ If you work at "Frailers" you have to have your finger on the pulse

Henry, I cannot put my videos of Baz Gas up cos I don`t know how to edit the expletives out when he plays the Bum notes!!
