Or is that lot for your guitar? Can't see it's all needed for a nice clean steel sound...

The steel doesn't actually go through any of it. It's all routed through the gig rig and applied after. Kind of like have 6 effects loops. I've tried to upload a photo of it but it won't let me. It may sound like an overkill but it works for me and i have so much guitar gear that it's nice to be able to use it. Also, the gig rig can switch between 2 amps so when i have the telonics rig up and running it will handle all of that too.

Just to correct Malcolm, I bought the Boss mini rack, he is not that generous that he gave me the thing, but never the less it was a great wee unit

All I use now is a DD3 and it does the job superbly.

The only problem with the Zoom is the interface is very difficult to use IMO, the 70 is much better than the 50 effects wise, for instance no fuzz face on the 50. The problem is having to go through the virtual "pedal board" all the time, and unless I haven't found it yet, not being able to edit and save the "pedal board setups" it would be great to have a set "scene" for every song, like you can do with a line6 M9 and M13, although they do not have amp modelling, but some people like that.

Zoom 70 interface is a bit awkward I agree, not helped by having to step through so many pedals when choosing individual effects and tweaking can be a bit fraught when the effect controls are on multiple pages. But it is possible to save 50 pedal board configurations each with up to 6 effects and to set a sequence of your favourite boards to cycle through using foot switch. In such a small pedal I'm still impressed.

I have to agree whole heartedly with both Malcolm and Dave, the Digitec RP 155 reverb is exceptionally good, usually i use it as a stand alone effect, but the delay is pretty decent too, i dont use the other effects or pre amp on the unit, been using the rp 155 for about two years now, i agree with Alan, that its not easy to change on the fly, but i dont find that neccessary, as i store different reverbs and/or delays on different patches, brilliant little unit for i think about £75 ?
