Geoff if you ever want to go through, i'd be happy to share petrol, even though i'm just on the road to playing one of those pesky amputated steel guitars as you know. Cheers. Need to be Octotber one at the earliest though due to Roger Waters in Paris.

OK guys, you've convinced me :)

John, I'll be in touch anyway once you're back from France and I'm back from France

We could firm up something then. Enjoy The Wall :guitar:

Unfortunately I was not able to make that particular meeting as I put my back out, seems to be a common problem on this forum!

Almost back to normal now, so I would like to come along next year sometime, you seem like a friendly bunch of fellows ;)

I'll keep an eye on the dates and let you know in the appropriate section when I can make it. I've since bought John Roche's Carter Uni 12, so perhaps someone can show me how to disentangle my legs

John, (Fat Cyclist), don't know if you made the last one but if you want to go along in the New Year sometime give me a shout.

Geoff, hope you can make it along, pleased to see new faces. Will you be wearing that fetching basket, just wondered if that is common headwear up your way? Almost as nice as Willie Gamble's " fiddler on the roof type bunnet ".

 8-)

The picture was actually taken in Morocco a few years ago in a beach shack near Essaouira. The family who lived there would charcoal grill a fresh fish and present it with chips & salad for a small charge, they also did basket weaving. When we arrived I was wearing a basket weave cap that I had bought previously in Italy, my wife also had a woven hat on. The family were interested in the weaving techniques used in our hats and took them from our heads to inspect them, the lady of the house grabbed two baskets they had woven and put them on our heads in a mock exchange. They took some pictures for us, that is part of one of them. The sun was setting over the sea at the time hence the warm colour in the photo, you don't get sunshine like that in Fife, maybe in Leith...

They gave us the baskets as a gift, which we still have. I don't wear it as a rule just on special occasions ;)

Ah! That Moroccan sunset! Nothing quite compares! Couscous and Tagine in the desert comes to mind! Several happy memories!

But Fife can sure produce a sunset now and then albeit with fish n’ chips in Anstruther! Orgasmic just the same! :D

Sorry ..... I believe we have digressed from volume pedals have we not!... Back to topic !!!!

Scrolly icon: lots of replies (25+, I think).
Question mark: you must have picked that as the topic icon when you started the thread
