Hi Bob, Terry Smith here (UK steel) Hemel Hempstead 01442-260055
I can tell you quite a lot about this instrument. It was for sale in the Queens Road Music Shop, Watford Proprietor Stan Freeman. The shop was used in the New Tricks episode about the Band leader
that pretended to be the copyright holder of the songs.
Anyway Stan got it as a trade-in about three years ago. He was advised that it was a Collectors item, so he thought he could get £5000 for it. He even advertised it on the US site. No takers, but he
managed to sell it about eighteen months ago. I recognised it from the MGH initials on the front in your photo.
My guitar is the Framus S10 (1000), and over the years I have done quite a lot of work on it.
Any technical help you require, please do not hesitate to ask. If I remember correctly there was a couple of the finger tip tuners missing on the C6 neck.
I also learnt fro Mr. Hartley at his Meeting last month that the Framus D10 (2000) was his first steel.
I'm dyeing to know who bought this Steel, and his background.
Also Bob I think you spend time down here at Hertford, so if you wanted to pop in I would be honoured.

Sorry Guys the guitar shown by James is similar but not the one I am currently on.

Thank you all for your input though!

The instrument now available has been in the same family for many years and the grand daughter of the player is who is in touch with me as her grandpa has passed on.

regards, Bob

No Idea if this is still for sale Jose but I have emailed you the contact details of the person who was selling it back then, it was the granddaughter of the deceased owner. Bob
