Andy, sorry just noticed you said D10 Carter, it definately a lot lighter than the Carter, not much heavier than my Millenium and that is mega light.

Andy, weights for guitar are in case 21.5 kgs, guitar it's self 14kgs.Regards Malcolm

Thanks Malcolm,that helps a lot. Just for interest's sake, or if anybody ever asks, the Carter D10 weighs 16kg and the cased weight is 25kg. I am interested in Sandys steel but have had a bit of bad luck today- I'm a self-employed joiner with a small workshop and my planer/thicknesser (pretty vital machine) blew up and will cost me a fair bit to have repaired, so guitar dreams on the back burner for a while but will keep looking anyway. I presume this guitar is still for sale, judging by the postings?
I have been 'hanging my nose' over a Sho Bud Maverick on ebay but have decided not to pursue it. This looks a better option to me, I'm very much a novice

I had been looking at one or two reviews & also past comments on this forum & I got the impression that there were better student guitar options than the Sho Bud Maverick
