OK, so I'm sitting here, by my computer, all relaxed, with my telecaster, reminiscing about long ago, when I was in my early teens, and just starting to mess with guitar (not pedal steel, I'd never heard of that when I was 13).
I remember struggling to find the chords for various pop chart tunes, and really struggling hard to get the chords for one particular song (A Horse With No Name, by America).
Now, I can just type the song into Google, and get the correct chords straight away.
But what fun it was, long before the internet, hearing something on the radio, then buying the record, and playing the part that you wanted to learn over and over again until the needle was knackered.
I sometimes wish that I could go back to those days, just for a visit, when life seemed so much simpler, albeit harder, without todays technology.
