Link to Little Walter video

Thought this might be of interest.

Steel Guitar Nashville had a workshop with Little Walter amps which are favoured by Paul Franklin among others.

Here's the links to the YouTube videos of their day.

During My visit to Dallas last year I heard this amp at the jackson room and was impressed by the sound quality.
Having looked at the latest vids of the open day at Bobbe's shop I have My doubts on their actual value with their cost in mind.
When I was in Dallas I heard some first class players using this amp,Paul franklin was astounding as was Rusty Rhodes was too.
I visited several other rooms and saw many great players and heard these guys playing thru' other amps,Telonics,Peavey.Webb.Evans etc., and each and every one of them sounded superb.
Back to the recent vids, with respect, the players on these clips were not big timers and the sound of the amp was not great, had Paul Franklin or Carco Clave or any of the other local "greats" been on the clips I think I would have had a different opinion.
In a way,it goes to show that tone IS in the hands.A decent player will get a decent sound from any amp(within reason) and a great player will get a great sound.
If I were to buy a Little Walter I would also need a cabinet and the cost could be around £3000, I doubt very much if My overall playing would benefit proportionally.
If I did have an open cheque book I would certainly have one, if only for showing off.
No disrespect to Little Walter amps.

Totally agree with Billy, having heard it and many other amps at Dallas have got to ask is it really worth the cash?My thoughts are "that would be a naw", would make little or no difference to the average player in a band situation.Malcolm

I agree," that wid be a naw" It doesn't matter what amp Paul Franklin or Mike Johnson, or the rest of the names play through, there gonna sound great. They've got the touch.

Having given it some thought I recon the best sounding amp I heard at Dallas was the Webb. Heard a lot of different players and guitars use it.The only down side was size/weight/price.Think Donny may have used a Webb at Ireland a couple of years back.
