Fellow steelies.
Being relatively new to this steel malarkey I just have a few questions and would appreciate any advice if at all possible. After many months of searching i managed to locate a gorgeous red MSA steel – 3 pedals 3 knees, tip-top condition for a very reasonable price and suffice to say I am enjoying it immensely. ( I’ll attach some pictures if I figure out how to ) However, currently the C pedals is out of action – I have the rod and tracked down one of the tiny bushings that was missing but the problem seems to be that when I attach the rod and the bushing and depress the lever it moves the A pedal down and also the far-right knee lever. I just need some advice on how to attach it properly and get it up and running cause I feel like I am missing out on some important changes. I think it is something to do with loosening some bushings and tightening others but I don’t want to get into guesswork...obviously. I hope I have explained this correctly. Can anyone advise me on this or should I take it to someone who knows what they are doing? If the latter – is there anyone you know of who operates in the West Midlands as I live in Coventry?
I was told by John of St. Neots who I bought it off that it was a proto-type model from the 70’s that didn’t go into production. Just wondered if there was any more information on it as there doesn’t seem to be any info on the web and I haven’t seen another one like it. Just a shot in the dark – but does anyone know this guy as I have lost his email address and really want to tell him how pleased I actually am with it.
Sorry If this has been a bit rambling or win the wrong section and hope that someone out there can help me.
Regards
Ryan
