Born Sydney Australia 1956 .... grew up in Leicester. Now living in North Devon. 40 years on Acoustic guitar. Been playing Dobro for a while and thought the transition to C6 lap steel would be straightforward. ......

Born in Weardale, County Durham 1971
Moved to Exeter about 15 years ago now live in North Devon
Work part time musician and part time in care home for disabled people called Northam Lodge.
Main instrument is sax, just got into playing steel guitar about 3 years ago. Love all good music and hate it when people dismiss something as 'not their type of thing' without even listening first.
Guitar wise, have a 6 string Morrell, 8 string Framus, Fender Deluxe (Bob R - I LOVE this, it's with me until I stop breathing, we've managed to make it some legs which look a bit odd but do the trick for me!), a Fender 400 (which I bought with a couple of bits missing and is currently being restored bit by bit) and a Gibson Hound Dog dobro. Fender Frontman and Blues Junior amps. My other half plays guitar too. No wonder we don't have room for a Christmas tree.

Born in Kronoby, Finland in 1960
Played steel since 1977
Proven guilty of spoiling a few thousand recordings with artists in different genres (and levels).
Oh, well.... You can't please them all.

Hi. Born in Stockholm, Sweden 1954. Started with my first AWH steel 1974. Have been dealing with this wonderful instrument since, well I did a 15 year brake and started up again 2006. Best thing I have done in my life. Have been a visitor at the Irish steel festival two years now, and how good it is to meet people with the same feelings for our instrument.
Keep STEELING
