Knee Lever mod for studio

In 1977 I broke the knee lever on my Emmons D-10 whilst playing at the Guinness stand at Galway's Oyster festival. Second number in the set, so I upended the guitar and made THIS modification.
Great in the studio environment to set up a temporary actuation of a pedal that's unreachable normally, or a change that simply can't be got any other way.

I looked at the pictures of your poor old Emmons. I hope you've taken pity on her and given her a beauty makeover....We all need a little 'touch up' after a few years, some more than others. Look at Pants Pomeroy and see what it's done for him !!!!! JD has never looked so gorgeous ?????.

What happened to the rear neck Basil?

I used up the parts repairing the top neck bit by bit, as and when bits needed replacing. At the time (1970's) there was no such thing as internet and the delivery from the USA was very patchy.

Actually, beside the 'get me through the gig' mod with the mole grips, it is a wonder that Emmons never devised a method of fixing bell crank pullers to their push pull guitars without necessitating the removal of crossrods and pull rods. Modern guitars facilitate this by the use of square crossrods and clip on pullers that can be screwed into position without removing the crossrod. Your mod, no matter how Heath Robinson it appears, could be developed to replace broken levers much more easily.
