Thanks for the reminder David :o I hadn't realized it was so close.
We've had a great take-up for a first event - so far 27 people including 12 steel players and 5 guitarists and/or bass players. So there's a live backing option for those who want it.
I've asked Mike the landlord to provide us with nosh in the Long Room, so we don't have to wander the village rooting around for sustenance. I'll post details once he gets back to me.
See you at Thornton Watlass. :guitar:

Donny see you on Saturday. We expect to be at The Buck just before 9. It will take an hour or so to set-up. :guitar:

David, the chips at the Stag are to die for. Also they're great for the girth - if you have little or none before, you'll certainly have plenty of girth after.

Just got home after spending a great, ( sorry can't spell marvelous ) 2 days at the NESGF,a secial thanks to Digby & Tony for all the organisation. All types of playing on show, Rod King was a revelation on Saturday afternoon as to what can be done on an eight sring plank, brilliant. David Hartley was his usual cool self, with a blinding demonstration of modern pedal steel guitar. I should also say a thank you to Ron Kew for the use of his amp. Unfortunately, Basil did not attend, and I was so looking forward seeing him play, perhaps another time. Donny.
