Yes Eddie. I've been shopping. It was a bit unexpected as I was very happy with the EMCI I got from Ted last year. I sold a K-Line Nocaster relic that I just wasn't happy with. It's a really good guitar as Telecasters go but I just never warmed to it. I decided to move it on (you can see it on adverts.ie) and it was sold very quickly. So, I had some cash looking for a home, I always fancied a Zum so I took a trip to Ted's place yesterday and "done the deal". I wasn't actually able to sit underneath it properly in Carrickfergus as the seat was too high and the vertical lever too low. But I have the utmost faith in Ted and I went home with a Zum. I spent the evening adjusting knee lever heights until I got comfortable. Ted has now got a very nice 1988 Arlington built, EMCI D10 for sale. It's in excellent condition. I'd say it got more playing from me in the last year than it got in its entire lifetime up to the point it came into my possession. Someone's going to get a really nice steel. I hope I've done the right thing!

As for switching between Strat's and Tele's. I have spent my whole life looking for "that" Telecaster. I haven't found it to date. I suspect what I'm looking for costs way more money than I'd be prepared to pay for a house let alone a guitar. I've been using an Albert Lee MusicMan for my guitar chores. I probably won't get a better guitar than this but I keep thinking "it ain't country if it ain't go no Telecaster". Silly I know, and to be honest, I spent much more time playing steel and fiddle these days. I almost regard having to play guitar as a nuisance.

That certainly looks like a steel for life Paul. Congrats! There's enough options on that thing to drive a train!. Im looking for a new D10 myself soon, when I raise the cash. It'll be a few months yet tho :-(

Hopefully it will be for life but then I thought the EMCI was for life too. It certainly got a good launching last night. It's first gig was on Irish TV on the Late Late Show backing Billy Yates.
