Richard, They were doing a three day special deal with 20% off normal tariff regardless of that it is half the price of Bettystown! Which has to be good for the numbers! Bob

its amazing to think that in these austere times, especially here in Ireland, that the hotel in Bettystown, through sheer greed, could get it so wrong, and price themselves out of such a prime booking as the ISGA festival, its not just the hotel rooms, its all that goes with it, bars, restaurants etc, and at what presumably is a quiet time of year for the hotel trade, anyway, Dublin will be great, a lot more central to most people, and much better value by the sound of it, see you all there for the 'craic'

The Bettystown Court did not exactly price themselves out of booking the ISGA festival but chose to close for the winter at the end of September (last year they also closed for the winter but at the end of October). The Green Isle is part of the same group (the Brennan group of hotels) and being at the junction of the M50 and N7 is pretty accessible from airport anf ferry ports. Given that there a few hotels within spitting distance I guess it encourages them to keep room rates competitive.
