There is a guy on ebay selling Jbl E120 speakers removed from a cinema, he had 16 I have bought one yes they are heavy but for steel guitar the best you can get
300watt 8 ohms

That would not suprise me I offered 200 plus 30 for postage for one but I should have bought more they are golddust.
Put one in a Roland cube (after building the cab 60mm taller and you have the only amp you will ever need.
I have two that i have done but one would suffice.
80 watt amp with a300watt speaker, the more you drive it the more it sparkles.

Yeah, I remember back in my youth there was a really good guitar player played locally and I loved his tone. He used a Fender Twin and I had to have one, so I bought one but could not afford the JBL version at the time. It made all the difference, I could not replicate the sound he was getting no matter what I tried. Of course if could have been that he was just a better player than me, but I reckon it was the JBL's, that's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it

message them and ask him they had 16 of them, they are what Gordon had in his twin reverb its all about what they made the magnets from, some of the other range lost it over time but not the E120 heavy heavy heavy but worth the effort.

have sent the guy a link to the forum he has 12 left and I told him to put another one up on his ebay site they wont be there very long

Hi John, I got in touch with him and he put up a link for me to order one, which I did. Looking forward to getting it, I intend putting it in my home made retro combo, I used the dimensions of a Cube 60w and enlarged it keeping the same ratio on the height, depth etc. It's basically just a 75W mosfet power amp and speaker, I'm using an HX Stomp XL as an effects/modeller/preamp to drive it. Sounds pretty good already, once I get the JBL in it
