The old one's are the best, or maybe not.
Anyone like a bit of Bluegrass, came across this and was blown away by the fiddler, his name is Michael Cleveland and was born completely blind, he also had an ear infection as a child which left him 80% deaf, and yet....
The man can play, noticing that there is a distinct Scottish feel about his playing, if memory serves Bill Munroe developed the Scottish style of fiddle playing as part of the original concepts behind Bluegrass. Could be totally wrong but I seem to remember that one of his grandparents played Scottish style fiddle and Bill taught the style and phrasing to the fiddle players in his band even though he was not a fiddle player himself.
Anyway, I can hear the similarity in style to fiddle players I've listened to up here in Scotland.
