Thanks guys. The guitar looks fantastic now. I was fine tuning the pedals and levers over the weekend, and there are are couple of places on the recording where the intonation is out a wee bit where I hadn't got that fine tuning quite right, but it will get there. I will be re-recording that track and a few more to go on a CD. I will use my different guitars on the album, and it will be interesting if people will be able to pick out what guitar is played on what track.

Ireland is a bit uncertain for me at the moment. My wife has been quite poorly, and has had fairly invasive surgery. She is still experiencing problems so it depends upon how she recuperates in the coming period as to whether or not I will be there. I have already made Ted aware, and bless him, he is OK with that.

Finally - thanks to Bob again for a superb job. The guitar actually looks better in the flesh than it does in the photos. Mr Adams' work comes highly recommended from me I can tell you. :D

Another cracking refurb from Bob, what a great looking Sho Bud, unique.
Ken, the playing is as usual exquisite.

Took some more pictures today as It was a nice sunny day and I had just cut all my lawns. She just looks so good I keep drooling over her and don't want to put her back in her cases.

Here I've tried to give an indication of the birdseye that laid under the original brown finish, but has now been brought to the fore.

If any of you guys need someone to breathe new life into your geetar, look no further than Mr Adams. He certainly knows his stuff and his work really is of the highest quality. Some guys in the USA have sent their guitars for restoration to prominent names over there and the exercise have been disasterous. I won't name names of those so-called restorers, Bob is a cut above many over there, and on a par with people like Jeff Surratt and Tom Bradshaw.

Finally, just as a matter of interest I sent the picture of a Show Pro below to Bob to base the new colouring of mine. I reckon he got it spot on.

I took her on her first outing to a gig yesterday since she was re-furbed. There were a couple of steel players there who were just knocked out with her looks.

The band leader has seen this guitar over the past 35 years or so that I have worked with him, and he just couldn't believe it was the same guitar. I'm just doing local gigs around Southampton at the moment as my wife is not well.
