I just dusted off my old Profex 1 and I am using it in my home studio. This was the more expensive unit than the Profex II which had the card slot, but it is way more flexible than the II
Costing around £750 when new, it has every single fx you could wish for..including stereo delay, tons of different reverbs, chorus, auto pan, compressors, gates, and eq`s.
Its really easy to operate and has user defineable names for each of your own presets along with 128 pre-loaded settings, albeit mostly for guitar.
Did I mention it has Overdrive, Distortion and a really great pre-amp...
Mine has the battery chip mod as the early ones tended to fail due to battery leakage, but with the mod, the battery is removed completely and replaced with a ROM chip
Its a great unit and I wouldnt part with mine...
MSA Millenium M3, a Carter and a bunch of Telonics stuff
