Zumbilly Murdoch in Hospital

Postby Willie Gamble » Thu Feb 16, 2023 11:55 am

Hi Folks, just to let you know that our Brother of the Bar Billy Murdoch is in hospital for an operation to remove part of his colon. A couple of months ago they discovered that almost a foot long section of his colon had turned cancerous.
He was admitted on Tuesday morning, was operated that same day to fit him with a Stoma.
Billy's number came up on a call last night and I expected it to be his wife Anne letting me know how he was after his operation, but it was Billy himself and he sounded his usual self.
As is my usual request lads, keep him in your thoughts at this time.
Yours Aye
Asleep at the steel

Thanks to everyone for the nice messages. I was discharged today since the staff were saying I was repeating My jokes. Actually the staff were tremendous and very caring indeed. I had been a little apprehensive as I entered the hospital last week, due to My age and having C.O.P.D I was considered high risk.I was absolutely astounded at the speed of My early recovery, within a day they were removing the canulas and I was on My(shakey) feet by day three.I have a few weeks of home meds and generally taking it easy.
Thanks again for Your nice thoughts and messages they really did cheer Me up. Love Y'All
