New Rig

Postby Haddock » Sun Oct 10, 2021 9:04 am

Hi All
It seems a bit rude to turn up on the forum after a long time away just to sell an amplifier so thought I might post my latest set up for your amusement. I don’t suppose there’s many others quite like this!
Cheers
Calum

Howdy Calum,

A roadie's nightmare, is what you have there, fantastic :guitar:

It's good to see, by those cheeky indentations, that you're getting plenty seat time in. It would be great to hear what you're up to with that set up. I'm thinking Modal Whale Song?

As an aside, do you have a micro climate up there in Argyll? That looks like bamboo and budding palm trees oot the windae.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Donny, it can murder the Canon nicely but usually makes much stranger sounds. Danny you are the third person to remark on the holes in the seat and perhaps I should consider a foam upgrade. If its memory foam, it would appear to have a touch of dementia.

Howdy shipmate

Good to see you finally putting a finger to one of your keyboards and posting a topic on your latest effects set up, but there’s more cables to pull on that not so little lot, than in the rigging of a four masted sailing ship! :o
You’ll spend more time tweaking knobs and slides than you will playing, is the keyboard for show or effects :?:
Something is likely to go bang and blow up cannon or no cannon, have you figured out how you are going to get that lot to Gartcosh?

Regards the fauna in the background we all know you live in the tropic of Colintrive but you don’t have to prove it, draw the curtains for the next picture!
What ever happened to the banjo? :? :?
Where’s the last little amp that gave your steel a great sound, are they under the table somewhere :?:

Keep up the good work and find some time to play your guitar :guitar: :guitar: :P
Cheers
Robert
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Hi Robert
More flashing emojis on your post than Christmas lights in George square as usual! Funnily enough, while I have lots of effects, most of the time I play with nothing. No delay, no reverb no fancy shit. Ok so the EQ and the compressor never get switched off but they’re just tools and don’t count. And the Iridium is doing the job of the amp so it has to stay on too. And the looper is just a tape recorder so I can play with myself (oooh, errr, missus).Playing naked means there is no place to hide!
Still got a banjo but not touched it in a while, still got a few amps but they have been replaced by the Iridium and the fauna is indeed native to Scotland where I was walking about at the weekend in a T shirt in October! The world is toast!
Cheers
