..............I'm in agreement. The wrap will probably be their first and eventually the "premium model". I reckon they'll make Cut Tails and All Pulls at some point too, maybe Bolt On's also but with the existence of Wraparounds I don't know how feasible the Bolt On will be.

The Wrap will be the most sought after model initially Stevie, as most discerning players in the USA will name that guitar as having the best tone of all. Weldon Myrick used a Wrap model on the wonderful Area Code 615 albums, and his tone was to die for. I am waiting with baited breath for the new Emmons web site to be updated to see if any mica options will include any colours apart from black. Red or blue would suit me a treat.

The new guys reckon that it has cost them a small fortune to tool up for the Wrap model, and they don't have any immediate intention to make any other variation of the push pull guitar in the immediate future.

My Show Pro is my main session and gigging guitar so at the moment I can't justify buying something else. This year has been a huge year for me so far. I'm fortunate to have access to my dad's Sho-Bud too when my heart desires. More importantly at the moment I need an amp I can actually gig which I'm currently in the process of buying (and eventually selling the twin). Of course, would love to try the wrap if you get one though!

Steven, my bolt on is the best sounding guitar i have ever played, I think the metal neck ones suffered some tuning probs but my wood neck model is very stable even when they place me under the aircon vent at my monthly Bulkington gig, that vent blows hot and cold not good for tuning.

I used to hear the same rumours about tuning stability but I've recently seen posts about how stable they actually are once setup correctly!
I do agree with the bolt on thing though. I really like the tone of them too...although I was quickly put in my place when I was younger by an Emmons enthusiast. I actually thought bolt ons came first which is why they sounded amazing . I'd never heard of the wraparound system until really getting into the Emmons subject. I knew there was the cut tail and bolt on but not the wrap

It's just been announced that the new Wraps will have cast end plates and necks, and it has taken 12 months or more to find a top quality foundry that can produce really good and consistent castings without air holes. The castings are produced with CAD software, and then machined using CNC technology. That will keep the purists happy, plus it will give mirror finishes. The new Emmons owners are planning this project out to the finest detail first. Very exciting.

The first photo from the new Emmons company, that I got as a result of signing up for the company's newsletters. There is a photo on the Steel Guitar Forum of a Push Pull party where a group of top pros including Mike Johnson are looking at a prototype guitar. It would appear that there are three rows of screw holes on the end plate. This will overcome the issue of the need for a separate adjuster on string 4 underneath the guitar to get the E to F change.

The photo below shows beautifully machined and polished changer rollers on the fingers. The changer mounting assembly looks amazing. Looks like the Emmons wraparound is joining MSA as top quality engineering on their products.

Ken, just for clarity, would it be possible for you to post pictures of the different guitars i.e. cut tail, bolt on and wrap around.
Some of our forum members may not know the difference.

Most of the guys in the know in the USA say that the Wrap guitar had the best tone, while the Cut-Tail and the Bolt-On have their own champions.

As I understand it the early wraps had their own share of problems and some had to go back for mods and have 9/16 axles fitted instead of the 1/2" they started out with like any new design they had to evolve a bit but the new ones do look to be "The Mutts nuts" I understand number one wrap is in Billy Coopers steel shop in Va. I wish I had seen it when I was in there but it could not have been on display at that time. If I ever go back.....

Just received an email from the new Emmons company. They have assembled a 'mock-up' of the new Emmons ReSound Wrap Around model. It doesn't have polished end plates or even have aluminium trims on the front of the cabinet. It is purely a working guitar that has been taken to 3 locations in the USA for seasoned pros to play and generally try out. Many of them have original Wrap guitars, and it has given them an opportunity to do an A/B comparison of the 2021 guitar with their original guitars from the 1960's. Well, the general consensus has been that the new Wrap has that classic Wrap tone, but that the pedal and lever action is more like that from an all pull guitar.
