Mayday Mayday

Postby bazzrd9th » Fri Jul 15, 2011 6:03 pm

Hi Guys,
Is there anyone who can do a gig with Miss Leslie in the Shetlands ??? She will basically be doing covers and she can (or I can) email the charts, Numbers system.
It's mainly tops and tails with a few solos.
Cheers

Barry, how about the steelie who lives up in Shetland, I had told Ricky about him and he was borrowing his guitar, sorry I don't have his name.Would have loved to do it,but it is too expensive to get up to Shetland and back, (cheaper to fly to New York and back) and would be a problem getting time off work.Malcolm

What a shame Ricky can't make it, he is a superb player and great guy.I played with the support for Dale Watson quite a few times in Glasgow, and had Ricky sit at my old Shobud , it never sounded like that when I played it.On a few occasions I stood about three feet away from him at the side of the stage at King TuTs and was treated to a fantastic lesson in playing when he was on stage with Dale.It is a great shame that this mini tour has been beset with so many problems,I am sure Barry will do a fantastic job, as always, at the English gigs.
