Ken
I'm glad that you have posted that last message and I wouldn't have to correct you about the Springfield not being made in SD10 form, Bob Adams has just sent me this clip when I asked his opinion on the Springfield that I hope to restore soon :guitar:
The guitar in question is most likely to be a Springfield as they have 3/8"dia steel cross shafts fitted and reading the small print as Brad said, the evidence is clear.
Regarding that Springfield ending up an abortion, this can happen to any guitar, I think the best way to sum it up is easy.
" one can be iligitamate without becoming a B :censored: "
I hope this information may help, if not I'm just adding more fuel to the fire!
Stay safe everyone and have fun
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

The guitar Bob is playing was made for me, if you get a close up of the front you will see my name is under the laquer. It was built as a D10 but the old story of lugging a D10 when you dont play the C6 came in to play, I had the rear neck taken off and the blue pad put on.
Blanton D10, Justice s10, Fender Acoustasonic 150, 1 Brain, 2 Hands, 2 Knees, & 2 Feet.
