Stupid humour

This is where you can rest a while and discuss anything - doesn't have to be steel guitar related!

Stupid humour comes easy!
In reply to Basil's previous quote repeated below

" I am right, I always suspected that they DID speak English north of Hadrian’s Wall.."

This verse is what I have wrote, it has been done in good humour testing any "English language skills" what I might have had at sometimes! :P

There once was a man from "down souwf" who had resin made into a bar
it was brilliant on steel with a positive feel, and stuck to my hand like some tar
playing was no longer painful, but the notes they were mixed in a soup
so to further my edumeecation, I joined up to Basil's new group ;)

When "Magic Bar "used all it's powers, I entered without much a do
then came a difficult question, one leaving me with no clue,
the answer was there in the small print, but somehow I never read that
ma brain can't always explain things, an that's why I look like a twat!

Stupid humour, comes easy, when there's only two cells in ma brain :o
so replying to difficult questions, can turn out to be quite a pain
when asked an awkward question, my reasoning won't be clear,
as ma mind continually wonders, that answer may never appear!

Magic Bar became the solution, it helped to retain my esteem 8-)
playing steel with lot's of talent , I awoke from my fantasy dream
I guess I'll just have to practise, and play steel like a driven man :guitar: :guitar:
but I know I'll never be perfect, so I'm doing the best that I can! :P

Boom! Boom!
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

An old married couple is at a concert one Friday night, when the woman turns to her husband and says, “I’ve just let out a really long, silent fart. What should I do?”

The husband tells her, “Replace the battery in your hearing aid.”

"Dahn sarf” is used by Suverners, from Enger land they hail
but others they have different words, "Up Norf" they sure do wail
pronouncing what I thought I heard, co’s that’s just what one hears,
the same was heard by some "Dahn Sarf" who listened with deaf ears!
"Up Norf" they have their war cry, "Dahn Sarf" some have their peers
but their lack of basic vowels, this has just brought me to tears!

MOT ALAW’ s the war cry coming loudly from his mouth
the meaning of that slogan, isn't lost on fans" Dahn Sarf "
when marching with that wailing, it puts pressure on the the brain
Co's if you're into winning then I really feel your pain
I don't follow football, that's best left to those inclined
but a shitty soccer acronym, goes nowhere marching blind! 8-)

This post began with Uncle Roy, alas ten years ago
no one knew at that time just how far this lot could go
full of fun and laughter and to all it's brought great joy
the first reply was posted back when Steven was a boy
we must keep this rumbling on and may it travel far
but words upon this trivia page, won't play my steel guitar! :guitar:

The reel Rabbie
"ooh Arr". :guitar: :guitar:
