Very interesting subject guys. The very first Mullen guitar that arrived in Northern Ireland was imported by a Mr.Albert Taylor in 1984. When I seen it for the first time I was blown away with its modern design and undercarriage mechanics. Two-Tone mica finish and metal neck, the guitar was gorgeous. Then the pedal and knee-lever action ... so precise, short travel. Since then I have been a dedicated Mullen fan. I have sold a lot of GFIs over the years, new and used. Cant fault them, they are wonderful instruments and well built. So I guess its all down to personal choice .... its like buying a car or a suite of furniture, how it looks when you see it first.

You're probably the best placed person in the UK to answer the original poster's question Ted. One thing for sure - in a direct competition on the cosmetic
qualities of the GFI Ultra and the Mullen RP there is only one winner. The Mullen wins hands down.

Donny, good stuff.
There's a few wee gems in there. I particularly enjoyed Ross Shaffer's info on developing the latest Sierra Pedal Steel.
