Thanks Danny & Roy.

We're both feeling a bit better today, still tired and sore but seems like the worst is over, crosses fingers.

The problem now is without testing we will not know if it's been corona virus or some other seasonal bug. So after our 7 day lockdown is over we will still need to self isolate although we will be able to go out for food etc.

If they could get effective testing in place those of us who have had it could go back to work, or help others who are vulnerable etc. I would be willing to volunteer to do stuff like deliver food to people in lock down, or whatever else would help.

It is what it is though, the situation has developed so quickly that things are bound to be chaotic at best.

I must be feeling better, I'm getting a bit preachy

Stay safe y'all :guitar:

Here's a nostalgic pic that I took of you Geoff, Janice and the one and only Ivor Greenwood. Ivor is showing you a photo on his phone of the latest buy from MSA. He probably gave you a short lecture on what constitutes good steel guitar tone. Just wrapping myself around some single malt that my stepson gave me for my birthday last year.

Happy days Ken. Really enjoyed that trip, met so many interesting and friendly people, the music was not too bad either!

Ivor was a real character, actually I think he was showing me a picture of all the racing engines he had to rebuild on his return home

I'll never forget the look on Janice's face when he was telling me how all the MSA End pieces were CNC'd out of a single piece of aircraft grade aluminium, then polished to near perfection and he turned around to Janice and said,

You'll not snag your tights on these dear when you're doing the hoovering!

Still makes me laugh when I think about that

That's us 5 days in now. Both feeling a bit better today though still mostly lying down. Still not 100% sure it's covid or another seasonal virus or flu, comparing our symptoms to what others online are saying it does sound like covid, but it seems to affect people in different ways.

They really need to get mass testing up and running asap, it would mean those who are now in the clear could either help others or get back to work and get things moving again. It would also be a big relief to know it's over, for some at least.

Can't see it coming for a while though, most resources atm are rightly going to the NHS, the next 2-3 weeks look like they are going to be hellish for many unfortunately.

I hope you are all well and staying safe and should it come your way it merely grazes on the way past.

Thanks Sid. It is taking a while to fully recover, some days you feel like things are getting back to normal then the next day you are back lying down again, although it is more just feeling really tired and worn out rather than feeling like you are still infected. Without a test it is difficult to know for sure if we had covid, but I have read that many who are recovering are saying similar things, even from a relatively mild dose, general fatigue and difficult to do much without getting extremely tired.

I guess the body has used a lot of energy fighting the virus.

Take care of yourselves and hopefully you will remain well.

Congrats again on the birth of your daughter :)
