Private Messages - Outbox?

Hi everybody,

When sending private messages, they get stuck in the outbox folder. More often than not, they eventually move into 'sent'. Other times, they remain in outbox.

Few questions:-

1. Is this normal?
2. Will the recipient get the message if it just stays in outbox?
3. If 'no' to any of the above questions, then what am I doing wrong!?
