Not Steel but... very cheap?

Seems to be all "Spear" electric guitars, 300+ lots, reserve seems to be about £40.

Auction is Friday 28th Feb at 11am, you need to register with the site beforehand and, I think, deposit some money if you plan on bidding. Remember prices will be + VAT and also +15% auction fee.

Thanks for the heads up Arcada, I bought one of the Black distressed LPs for £45 which worked out at £62 when the VAT and auction fee was added. A real bargain.

Not totally keen on the finish, but hey by all accounts these are well made, nice to play and have a good tone. Collecting it next week so will let you know how it plays.

Collection is from Hillington, so better take my armour, I've heard there's a lot of riff raff living in this area ;)

Glad you managed to grab one. My son is learning electric guitar and I showed his tutor the auction... he hadn't heard of the make but said some of the pickups alone were worth what the guitars were going for :guitar:

I'd heard of them previously, good reputation for quality guitars at a good price. Their current models sell for £300+. The model I bought had a rrp of £400 when it first came out.

Yes, many had Seymour Duncan pups which are well worth having. Others had EMG passive pups, not cheap either. :guitar:

Stay safe! I don't know if you're a regular at Gartcosh but maybe someone over that way can collect it for you and give it to you at Gartcosh? :o ;)

 I had heard that patrols of bearded hillbillies patrol the streets of Hillington rooting out incomers

If only I had not faithfully promised that no more guitars :guitar: would enter our marital home, I could brave the Hillington urchins ( or even bribe them with Lannie ) and pick it up, but a promise is a promise and I'm a man of my word
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

I too took that oath Robert, but fortunately I had my fingers crossed behind my back

Ha, ha, I absolutely love the disparaging tone this thread has taken. How very dare yous!
I'm currently out of the mansion, delivering square sausage to the needy, 'darn sarf', but it's okay Geoff, I've had a word with the Hillington Young Team, and a safe passage is now guaranteed.
That's a canny purchase, btw, that I'm sure you'll enjoy strumming on.
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

  8-) I did some work in Hillington at the Reid furniture factory in the 80's, a very friendly place if truth be told. Actually looking forward to visiting the area again, but I'll be sure to mention your name Danny should the Young Team dare show their face. Means I don't have to bring members of the FTT, (Fife Tattie Team), for protection.

Can't resist a bargain, by all accounts these are decent instruments, pick it up Monday or Tuesday :guitar:
