Simple is Sometimes a Lot Better

Postby Davie Holland » Fri Oct 04, 2019 9:03 pm

Thought I`d share last weeks session with yours truly at BBC Scotland studios, with upcoming band King of Birds. A guitar, a moothie and a steel. Just shows how little you have to play to have an impact on a song.

Hope you all enjoy. :D :D

That's an excellent display of tasteful minimalism from the man they call, 'Hunners'. Great stuff :guitar:
GFI Ultra keyless S10 4+5 Emmon's setup + Sigler, Li'l Izzy, Hilton volume pedal, Roland Cube 80gx, Joyo American Sound Pre-amp, Behringer VD400 Delay Pedal, Peterson Strobo Plus HD and a brace of bars, Ben's, Ezzee-Slide, Pearse, BJS, SIT nickel strings.

Great playing Davie, very subtle with a sweet tone from your steel and it blends in perfectly with the singer, LDN is jealous of the shine you get from the turtle wax but your playing is just as smooth and polished as your crown! :o :guitar:
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

That's really nice Dave, proof that the steel can really enhance a song without drowning it. Lovely job.

I enjoyed that, and it sent me on a 'King Of Birds' youtube hunt.

I found this one, which is highly 'listenable' (imo), is it you on steel, Davie?
