Going Loopy!

Postby Haddock » Sat May 11, 2019 10:30 am

Hi
I posted something recently about using a looper and how to control it with no feet available. My initial lever idea has been upgraded and is now the joystick shown in the picture. I can change what it does to work the delay feedback or the Leslie speed using the knobs on the wee silver box and also change the order of the delays. Makes setting up a drone, or a quick backing to practice over, a doddle and I can run off about an album of ‘ambipish’ per hour. Now to open a New Age shop.....
I know its over the top and probably certifiable but at least I’ve not fitted a MIDI pickup like another individual I could name...... :guitar:
Cheers

Calum
Sorry to hear you have went " loopy " and lost your feet as well, you are definitely on a quest and you will
" go where no man has ever gone before " problem with that is where will you end up?
Is the soldering iron part of the set up as well or just on standby for some hot licks?

I'll need to get the tablature from you to get up to speed and practice this " ambi pish per hour " :guitar: :guitar:
MIDI I can just about remember, but you are in a class of your own with your back to the future rig ! :geek: :geek:
As the sun is shining a bit now and then, why don't you try to get out more and sail the seven seas instead of playing with your joystick and torturing your brain so much!
No longer slummin, I’ve got a Mullen and a damn good amp as well,
they’ll be well played, if not played well, seat time alone must tell!

Good idea Robert and I’m off to Ireland next weekend for a nose about. In the meantime, no need for tab. Simple Ambipish recipe. Play an octave drone and freeeze it in a gadget. Add in a 9th or a major7th for flavour. Noodle over at will, two frets down Dorian for Celtic Ambipish, sharp the 4th for unresolved Ambipish (Incontinent Ambipish perhaps?) or any other flavour you fancy. Mistakes? Just do it twice and remember that a small boy once told Neo there was no spoon....
