Hi all - I was devastated to have to miss the NESGF but just wanted to use this space to thank everyone who sent good wishes for my 3-ple bypass operation last week. It went pretty well judging by being back home with paracetamol on the third day - Thursday 5pm op. finished; 1day to Friday, in High Dependency Unit: 2days to Saturday, recovery ward; 3days to Sunday evening - lift home! :o
Progress from now will have to be at the correct pace, I know; but overall I can only gasp in awe at the NHS staff who can produce such an outcome. :guitar: :guitar: :guitar:

Yes, Tony, it's inconceivable how quickly they can turn these big procedures round. An acquaintance of mine went through the same op and, since his recuperation, feels like a new man, gigging regularly and with a spring in his step. So, here's wishing you the same outcome.

And I join you in, awe filled, gasping at the care and skills of the NHS staff, especially in the straightened situation they have to cope with these days.

All the best, Sir :guitar:

Hi Tony, very sorry to hear you were in need of a bypass but also very pleased to hear the operation went according to plan!
I was also gutted to be unable to attend the NESGF, but will do my best to get along to one of the regular gatherings before the next one - and hope to be able to meet you there :)
Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery,
Sid

Tony
I'm so pleased that everything went well with your operation. My brother had the same op when he was just 32, so I know how invasive it is. I'm sure that Ann will be looking after you really well. Please take things steady, we all want you around for many years to come. Don't rush things and certainly don't lift this heavy contraption that we all play. Best wishes buddy.
