Good go John. Was that a subtle hint that you want a copy of the backing track? :o

As for pedals? I am having a lot of fun without so will stick with that for a while. :D

OK mate. Will do one later today and email to you. If you look in my profile on soundcloud you will find my version of Rose Coloured Glasses. I suppose you want that one as well.

Anything you do re tracks exceeds my best efforts Mick and most of the playing too.... yes I did have a listen to RCG. amazing what can be done with a plank but you cannot copy the bass run very well that Emmons did with it you must fess up to needing pedals for that??? :?

I agree John - I must do some videos. Makes me wonder if some people are asking "Are you sure he is not using pedals?" If only I were that good. :guitar:

It is very easy for that run John. It's in the key of F and as I am using C6 tuning that means the C chord is open string. Therefore I keep the third string open and keep picking whilst moving up on the 6th string. You then have one note stationary whilst the other is moving up - in other words the same as you are doing with the levers. Also don't forget that what I am doing is a version on lap steel with all it's restrictions in order to show that with a little bit of dexterity with the bar you don't have to refrain from playing your favourite tunes because you don't have a pedal steel. It's just gonna be different. And I enjoy playing it that way.

I must say that I could have picked an easier tune as you can hear from some of those twists not being spot on. Mike Siglers "Girl in the glass" and Lloyd Greens "White Light" are in the pipeline and in places they are going to be different especially where you have a three note weird and wonderful chord. But that will be my version and in my style. Did you know that you can play the intro to "Divorce" on lap steel C6 and get it spot on to Lloyd. That's the A pedal plus E raise three note chord. Takes a bit of practice that's all.

Right - must go and feed the dogs, wash up the dinner things then get your backing track done. :)
