Chesapeake - with Mike Auldridge on steel guitar.

I haven't heard much from this band. They formed in 1994 as a bluegrass band. This is a song that means a lot to me. I used to play it back in the early 70's with a great band called Redwood. It's a Steve Gillette song called Darcey Farrow, and has been covered by many artists including John Denver, Matthews Southern Comfort, Ian and Sylvia and many more. My favourite version is Denver's, but I like this version too as it has the late Mike Auldridge leaving aside his more familiar instrument - the Dobro - and he is on pedal steel this time. I think he does a nice job.
