I had one of those back in the 70s, the only use it was for was to put a cushion on the floor and use it as a church pew Hallelujah don't forget to put your donations into the bowl on the way out.

I was thinking on implementing some of the engineering designs John, especially the no requirements for a case.

I believe this is built from a design in the Practical Woodworker. My late father toyed with the idea of making one.
