Eddie,
I will be at Thurso one week before You.Playing with Nashville Union who are also playing the same venue as You are the following week.
They had asked Me to do the club night too but I knocked it back because of the travel,It is a six hour drive each way for Me and My old bones could not stand two trips up within a week.
Just My luck, I really would have enjoyed meeting You.Maybe it is just as well,You would have blown Me off the stage.
You will enjoy the gig,the patrons are very friendly. Rosie is a real looker.

OMG i just looked at the map, just couldnt be more north if you tried, will we have to abondon cars and use huskies? yeah it would have been great to play at the same venue as you Billy, i doubt i would blow anyone off the stage, let alone you, this will be my first gig in Scotland since you made me an honoury Scotsman, Billy, so i guess its like coming home? ? ? Rosie is also the most down to earth, lovely person you could meet, i only met up with her and Gerry, the bass player recently, though its been on the slow burner since before Christmas, got some hard work to do rehearsal wise, before our first gig in three weeks, will the festival have an adverse effect on numbers at the club the following week? will be fun anyway,

Eddie,
In case You have'nt seen it, here is a link to the Northern Nashville website http://www.nncmc.co.uk/
The festival is well attended with around 12 to 1300 attending,I guess they will be coming to see Gene Watson and not Me :)
The club members are very faithful and should still attend in numbers the club the following week.
You will probably have been made aware that the bands each do a 30 min cabaret spot(no dancing) and then two 45 min sets for dancing.
Incidentally I will be backing Sharon Nixon at the festival, perhaps You have met Her.Ted Nesbitt knows Her well.
I guess You will come over on the Larne/Stranraer ferry, once You get on the road past Inverness be careful of the wild Haggis coming out of hibernation they can be really mean.

after careful consideration, and a couple of pints, we have decided we are gonna fly into Inverness from Belfast, we have apparently been kindly offered the use of backline gear and PA, presumably your mates gear, Billy?, so i will just bring my steel and strat, i usually remove guitar neck and wrap guitar in my luggage case, so will only pay excess on steel, no one fancied all that driving, must be 7+ hours from Stranraer, and thats before we encounter the wild haggis, sod that!!!
