Single neck, Light, Pro, Emmons set-up pedal steel

I'm after a single neck, light, pro, emmons set-up pedal steel. I've got a carter d-10 that plays nice but always get lots of niggling issues with it and i'm doing a couple of gigs a week with multiple bands and tours approaching so could really do with a lighter AND less-troublesome pedal steel as well.

I'm based in Bournemouth.

Hello there, can you tell us what the issues are with the Carter, they are awesome guitars, is it a tuning issue or what ?

Got to agree with Willie, these are superb guitars, you should not be having problems unless someone has been messing around with the mechanics. As far as I know only recurring problem on Carters is the "dog bone" at the bell crank that connecting rod hooks round, and that is easily fixed.You have a top notch guitar there, let us know what actual problems are and perhaps we can advise, saving you a bit of cash.

There isn't anything such as a 'light' Emmons unfortunately. The guys are right - Carters are fundamentally a great guitar, and fairly basic to set up. I have some spares if you have any duff parts on yours. Plus it is one of the lightest pedal steels around.

I don't think he's after a light Emmons brand guitar - he said he wanted a light guitar that was Emmons (as opposed to Day) set-up.
