Thought I'd chip in on my experience with a Carter Starter..
I owned one of these for a little while when I started out (not that I am an experienced player now, I'm still considered a newbie lol). I had heard all the negative press, but still went ahead as I was simply impatient. The guitar did everything I needed it to, and I gigged with it. The only problem I had with it was that I found it flimsy in places and the pedals were rather difficult to press. Had it not have been for that, I wouldn't have upgraded for years. With what Bob appears to have done with this guitar, that flimsiness will be gone and therefore as far as I am concerned this is a pro sounding and playing model. Also... I paid £650 for mine, which was the standard model, AND I needed RB to sort it out a little. What I am saying is, this price is criminally good. Wish I'd have bought this one instead. Whomever picks this up will certainly enjoy it.
Brad.
