Bob- the original post was about a registration plate, or at least that is how I viewed it.
Comments on the topic seems to have degenerated due to a difference of opinions regarding anything but number plates. Come on mate, thats par for the course with forums, one persons black is another persons white. It aint worth throwing the towel in, if you enjoy steel guitar and get anything from our BS forum, stick with it. I for one never feel good about anyone leaving us, we need everyone.
Reading through the post and threads I cant see any real harm done.
So! let the dust settle and get your a**e back on here, please.
Dave. ;)

Well I know one thing. Roy at least grasped the humour in my first post on this thread, and came up with a great and funny response. Unfortunately humour can get lost in the translation, and I have been guilty of taking offence on this site to something of nothing. I hope Bob reconsiders his 'threat'.

Bob - regarding the quote "Apparently I need to spend more time playing steel" I didn't say that at all. I did suggest that your time would be be better spent on your guitar than trying to catch out motorists going about their normal routine. I think that could well be echoed by some others who frequent this site. I enjoyed the instrumental that you played at Siston on the evening that I saw you play.
Show Pro D10 (amber) 8 + 6, MSA Signature XL D10 (redburst) 9 + 6, Sho~Bud D10 (sunburst) Pro 111 8 + 6, Emmons D10 Push Pull - (black) 8+5, Zumsteel D10 (blue) 8 + 8, Hudson pedal resonator, 10 string lap steel. Telonics, Peavey & Webb amps,

Bob,
We have never spoken via the forum before...I can and have been what one might call outspoken on it. I'm sorry if you took offence of anything that I have said, but I don't think it's worth cutting your nose off to spite your face. Somewhere down the line we all get upset over someone or something, but in my book there are too many good people on the BSS to just cut loose.

On a sweeter note, which way do you come through France to your happy hunting grounds in the 'Oc I live not far south of Poitiers, and if you wanted to break your journey you would be more than welcome. You can always send a PM or direct to [email protected]

Comaraderie is what life is about.
