I can remeber the same argument from musicians in the '60's and '70's and by the sound of it could be getting worse. I suppose open a club and take the profits from the bar or if enough pickers got together and put on a paid night twice a month, it might make people take an interest. I can remeber in the late '50's listening to live bands at so called night clubs, and when the band had a break they put on records. Thanks to Saville, all those clubs closed and all the youngsters listened to records and those things they called a DJ. I always thought a DJ stood for Dinner Jacket, but then that puts me in the ancient league. It's called progress!!!! backwards in my opinion.

Yep, DJ = Dinner Jacket, the polite English term for what is now referred to as a "tuxedo". Yeecchhh!
