New Sho Bro from Jackson

Postby Ken Byng » Thu Sep 25, 2014 4:26 pm

My herd of musical instruments is just about to expand I fear. I have 19 6-string guitars, 6 pedal steels and a 10-string lap steel.

Jackson have just announced a new product. Their pedal resonator guitar - the Slide King Pedal Sho~Bro. It is a six string resonator guitar with 3 pedals and no levers. Unlike the Franklin Ped-a-bro, the Jackson guitar is a bona fide resonator with pedals attached. Triple raise & triple lower. Pics below.

I think my studio/music room will be getting an addition after the Dallas Show in March.

New Pedal Sho Bro from Jackson

Postby Ken Byng » Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:55 am

Correction to the above. Jackson's new Dual Action system allows double raise single lower on each string for their Sho Bro, but they are putting the triple R&L on their new pedal steels shortly.

Well, after all that I decided to go with a Hudson Hudsonator pedal resonator guitar. A simple pull-release mechanism, and a beautiful maple cabinet. Half the price of the Jackson, so I can buy 2 for the same price and have them in stereo.  I am picking it up at Dallas in March, and it will be an ideal addition to my studio arsenal of instruments.
