Can you tell me what tuning you intend to use. I did a version backing my daughter which you can hear on YouTube. I was using C6 on a Jedson lap steel.

Ok so an adaptation but this can be changed.

Thanks for replying - sorry, didn't realise it was so long since I've been on the forum!
I've just got a Sho-Bud D10 but not even started on the C6 neck yet so would want to do it on the E9 if possible

262 views - Can 1 out of 262 help this young man out? - or even point in the direction of some commercially available material.

Have a look at Dave Hartleys version on YouTube. Looks to be in the key of C so starting on the third fret with A and B pedals down. He is using a lot of single notes here and using the A pedal to slide up on certain notes. See if you can sus it out as this will be good for your ear and help you explore the neck. If you do get stuck I will see what I can do. Dave may even have some tab for this.

Ken, Are you wanting to learn it to play as an instrumental as like Davids video ? or are you wanting to play it backing a singer ? If its as instrumental then Davids version of modern steel sounds with all the bells and whistle's is the way to go>>>
But if you want to back a singer with it, I would suggest a more simple Don Helms type of approach and for that you only have to learn about three and a half chords and it plays itself..... be glad to show you.... if Mick has not already done so??

Ere u go Ken, I don't understand the Tabby thing (apart from the cat) but here is a simplified go at it with moving blurry pics (not enough light in my corner) It carries a health warning for bum notes and mistooks......

Big thanks to John Davis - I've put it together with some stuff from another video you did about getting C6 sounds on the E9 neck and got loads of options. And big thanks to Roy Heap for the 'single note' version, proving to be a very good exercise all round!
