Ha ha! I think you need to have another listen to the words JD - she's too much of an angel by all accounts, hence Hank has the hump!

I agree with Will, but for more songs, how about the Batenders ones not already on the list

Jonshack set us a puzzle. Here's my effort:

The oldest song is "Mansion on a Hill" released in 1948 and the next in line is "Cold cold heart" written by Hank Williams in 1951.
The newest is "Angels" co-written by Robbie Williams.

So I'm thinking the link is the surname of the song's author.
Fingers crossed....

Oh dear I didn't even think of that! Ha ha! Well that is certainly correct and you did get the right two songs so the prize goes to you Will, congratulations. :D
I'll leave it open to see if someone gets the answer I was thinking of, you were sort of along the right lines. I'll come up with another prize for 'the answer on the card'. I'll have some other old courses and tapes for sale on Sunday so it will be something from that.

I'd like to second Shaun's song nominations please David.

And I'll third them! Although I've had a lot of fun with "City Lights" just lately. Whatever key Ray played it in.... he dropped a semitone or two in later years. Dammit Jon, I thought I'd got that right! What else, what else.... They've both been recorded in Spanish? :guitar: :guitar: Ay Caramba!!!

It's quite an impressive list when you put it down like that Shaun!
Hope you have a very successful meeting. Sorry I can't be there but I'll be there in spirit and looking forward to the Bartenders' meeting next weekend.
Cheers
Nick
