Hi all.
Just back from Steel Days 2014 in the Netherlands.
Now preparing for this coming weekend playing with the Mona Jill Band in Norway.

Please add Crying Time Again (Key D) to the list.

It will be the first thing we all work on as a group and a long track to pass around so think of your lead breaks including clever licks if you can, we will all learn from this a lot. Choruses are the same chord sequence as the verse so should be easy. I want to hear lots of melody and harmony using strings 5 and 8 and/or 3 and 5.

Also, homework...... Kiss and angel good morning (key A) .. I want to hear it played as if it was being sung, leaving spaces after the melody of this instrumental for other steel back-up (answering the melody as if it was a song being sung..

Angels... Key E.... I want to hear you all have a go at learning it single note, with feeling and adding just the right amount of effect, sustain, etc...

You will like what I have prepared for you...

There is a disc available, at the event, for a very small price (but worth worth £50) of tracks, tabs, and tuition from the day..

Please also, we must all eat at the Bens food, breakfast bacon roll, and lunch, tea coffee and beer will be from the Back Street Diner also...He is coming a long way and I know it will be fantastic...

Bring long mains extension leads and big enough amps to be heard... You will be doing solos from time to time....

.. I am presenting it all again at a festival in Venice this year too... ;)
CD's and individual tracks available to download from iTunes and CD Baby.

Can someone just confirm the address for me. I've looked through some of the message but cannot find an actual address. Excuse me if I have missed it.
Thank you,
Barry.

Hi all.
Just got back from a few band gigs in Norway.
It's 1:45am. I think I can count the number of hours sleep on one hand since last Friday. :D
They know how to party!
See you Sunday, don't miss it, I will keep you posted with any new ideas...
Does anyone know a drummer who will come for a couple of hours 4:00 - 6:00 maximum to assist with round robin suggestion songs with band, like last time.... Adrian Kemp from last year is unable to do it due to medical reasons...
I do have a few ideas myself but if anyone knows who can help with a bass drum, hi-hat, and snare, that's all we need...

I didn't realise there was potentially live backup, this is even more exciting!

I've been working on the songs the last few nights with mixed success - still some time to practice… How's everyone getting on with these?

Crying time again
Kiss an angel good morning
Angels
Saginaw Michigan
Cold cold heart
Mansion on the Hill
Farewell party

Here's a little trivia competition: What does the 2nd oldest song on the list have in common with the newest? The first attendee to post here with the correct answer wins Hal Rugg & Weldon Myrick's "The Amazing One Pedal, Two Finger, Three String Lick" instructions with cassette. Thinking caps on gentlemen.
