Texas Steel Jamboree 2014 (now with pics)

[Ted Nesbitt]

Had a wonderful weekend at the Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree. Our good friend Ken Byng was on the main stage on Thursday night, and done a superb job.
He was playing a Carter D10 thru a Telonics amp (New Model), and his tone was outstanding and his playing impeccable. He only took delivery of the Carter
on the Thursday afternoon. He done us all proud .... Well done Ken. Mark Dunn and John Stannard played in the Telonics Room ... what a team!
We missed David Hartley, hopefully he will make it next year. Great company this year, with Malcolm Mc Master, Ivor Greenwood, Mike Fereday, Spencer Scott.
From New Zeeland was Paddy Long and his buddy, from Australia, Bob Alloway and Warren Neilson. I reckon the TSGA is now the best steel guitar show in USA.
If you have never been ....... make it your business to go there some year.

Cheers Ted, completely agree, it's a terrific show.
All the best

And I saw you and Ivor stopped at the Gunter halfway house too!

Glad you all had a good time.

Yes, I wished I was there too....

Mmm... must get there in the not too distant future!
