ZB changer quandry

Reinstating the C6th back on my ZB I came up against a slight problem, the 4th string is
raised twice on the 4th and 7th pedals a full tone ( A to B ), now, knee lever right going right
will raise it 1/2 a tone (A to Bb), here starts the problems, a ZB changer only allows you to
raise a string twice NOT three times but I devised a way that (with our Bob Adams help !) will
do the job, see the diagram. :P
Now the next problem is that , due to lack of space, I'm going to use the E9th knee lever so a
method of equalisation is needed, Bob sent me a photo of the way a ShoBud part worked but it
will need sorting when installed. 8-)
I shall persevere and overcome these "minor" problems and when I'm happy with the end result
I'll post some photo's !!

I have a similar problem with my ZB. I need to set up my knee lever to change e to F but my changer is already designated to changing the e to an F# on the pedals. Are you saying you can set it up to attain two different pitches using just one 'raiser' on the changer? Man this is complicated! Thanks, good to know its not just me struggling on.

Steve,
Have a look at your ZB student and see if there is an extra row of holes in between the two rows used for tuning the raises and lowers (see photo)

If so, you need to use a rod that has an extension piece welded to it which hooks into one of the raise holes in the 4th finger, and passes through the middle hole in the endplate (see diagram and photo)
This rod is attached to the knee lever in the usual way, a left and right handed turnbuckle, then on to a yoke at the knee lever cross-shaft, with the other end of the yoke attached to the raise hole of the 8th finger.
