My sincere apologies that I can't attend this years festival.
I am really going to miss seeing you all at this event which I have attended many times in recent years.
I had to make a decision recently, I have has severe back pains which finally seems to be easing, thank god, and other family issues which have to be sorted this weekend.

I am really going to miss playing with the band in the bar also. I love it in there.

I will be thinking of you all, and the Guinness, and wishing you all have a great festival.

Just getting ready for day 2 of the festival.
Day one Saturday, great day day with plenty of excellent playing.
What can one say about J Dee Maness but MAGIC, not only a superb steelplayer but a real nice guy.
Another star of the day is got to be said was Mr Willie Gamble, the crowd really loved his performance, playing and his wit.
Time for an early breakfast and resetting our BSS stand for another great day. :D

Willie Gamble ..... Your set was Pure Class, wonderful playing, great choice of material, great phrasing and superb tone.
You got the attention of a lot of steel players who play there every year.

Well done friend.

Congratulations to Maurice and the guys, another fantastic festival.Jay Dee was amazing, and when playing in the bar at night did what he does best and lives to do, backing singers wow :o Both the house band and the bar band were outstanding, supplemented now and then by the talented Mr Thurlby, what a player both on steel and guitar.Despite nerves Mr Gamble did a superb job with a performance that turned a few heads. :D Think this was the best year yet for the festival. It was a pleasure too meet up with all the "old" faces (some older than others) that I only see at festivals,no not just you Uncle Roy,by the way picture of you worked a treat, kids and my dogs were terrified by it  Great to see Jeff and Gloria Surratt and Ray Hunt from Show Pro at festival, and their tour guide ,a Mr Spencer Scott, whoever he is :D Looking forward to next year. :guitar:

Thank so much for the kind words about this shattered little units playing at this years ISGA festival.
I have to say that without Bob Adams it would never have happened.
Thanks to all involved in the arranging of the annual bash
It was a comfort to have my good friend Derek Thurlby playing guitar for me during my set, and giving me a PP3 battery for my DD3
I was totally overwhelmed by the number of people who came up to me and congratulated be on my attempts at playing
I cannot forget the home support team, Malcolm Billy McKillop, Reg Sutherland and Billy Taxi
What a buz I feel at least 5' 4" now
But seriously what a fantastic weekend Jay Dee was an absolute treat to watch, hear and share a dram with at the bar jam on Saturday and Sunday nights
The two bands were to die for.
Thank you all so much I feel very humbled

Asleep at the steel
