Hi Shaun - happy to put Yr Cheatin Heart in D
I'm going to write out the verse and chorus with basic chords so everyone has a framework to work to...
The BIAB tracks will also help.
I'll also drop you an email before I circulate so you have a structure...
Thanks for the backing tracks and PA - it made it a 'proper' meeting!
I'm already looking forward to 24 November.

Hello, I'm gutted I didn't catch on to this meeting until it was way too late in the day - looks like fantastic fun and a great feat of organisation! I'd love to get involved in the future if you have room for another part-time picker. Is it open to all comers/jonny come latelys?

Hi John - of course - you'd be most welcome.
There's a thread on one of the earlier posts with the pub's address - Bread and Roses, Clapham Manor St SW4. The next meeting is on 24 November , 12 noon until around 6.00pm- I'll be putting up a new thread a little nearer the time.
In the meantime, PM me your email address so Shaun can add you to th list for backing tracks to be sent to.
Next time we're looking at
Your CHeatin Heart, Send me the Pillow you dream on, Farewell Party and Green Green Grass of Home. Great fun and a great group of people. Room hire works out at about £10 per person - look forward to meeting you!

Thanks Nick, much appreciated. I can make the 24th, really looking forward to meeting some new people and jamming along. I already know Henry S and although Alan and I share a bass player in different bands we haven't met yet (I've been trying to get out to see the Bob Collum band for ages I promise!). PM sent with my email.

Hi All

I've just made a bid to the Arts Council for some funding for these meetings for 2014. Bit of a long shot but who knows. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

Cheers

Hi Guys

I've put the new backing tracks on the shared Drive.
I think I've added everyone to the share but if anybody has not got access let me know.
I'll need your email address (if I haven't already got it).
All the best

Well done Shaun. Were the chord charts I sent you ok?
I've added Jonshack (above) to the email list - you'll get a copy when I send the charts out - could you add him to your shared drive?

David - great idea to approach the Arts Council - d'you think I'd get a new Williams U12 out of them?

(But seriously, good idea re room hire etc. Great thinking!

Hi Guys,

At Barry's request I've re-done Farewell Party in E, its on the shared drive.
Also Alan suggested shorter versions for practicing with,, I'll do that but it will probably be the weekend before I get time.
