Strobe Tuner

Hi there,
Does anyone have a strobe tuner that they're looking to sell? I'm looking for 'line-in' rather than 'clip-on'. Please drop me a PM if you have anything,

Hi Henry,
If you have laptop/netbook then it might be worth looking at the TB Strobe software http://www.tbstrobetuner.com/
There's a free version which is great for guitar, but for pedal steel you'll need the full version which only costs a fiver (no kiddin'!).
The paid version lets you create tuning offsets (I believe it's called Sweetened Tuning) for every pedal or lever position, which means you can get tuned up very quickly.
The Emmons offsets on the photo below work fine for my guitar, but I'm a newbie and wouldn't know if these offsets are the best.
The first column includes the string gauge in thou's, and the other numbers are the tuning offset in "cents".
I also thought of investing in a strobe tuner before I realised that it's basically a one-trick pony (or should that be computer?), and the clever bit is it's program, not the hardware.
However, If you need a tuner for stage work, rather than for carrying out a full set-up then I guess you'll need something more portable.

Emmons and Day tuning offsets

Cleartune, programmable, iPhone,android, as good as a Peterson. A few quid...

Not too sure about the emmons/day setup on the graff, as the second string which is the same on both setup's seem to have conflicting tuning's on the 3rd and 6th string's, in fact, all the string's seem to conflict, must be my age.

I don't understand why the two tunings are so different. I use the Day setup but I tune it the same as the Emmons setup. Sounds OK to me. Slim I just sold a Peterson because I couldn't get on with it. I find the Korg LCA-120 the best tuner, very accurate and still and a big face. I downloaded the cleartune and it is really good. If only there was a version for normal PC then you could plug the guitar into the computer which I think would be much better.

Thanks for the advice everybody.
I have been using Cleartune for the past year in the house but had an issue with it playing a loud show the other night where it just would not register the sound from my steel even through it was directly plugged in. It is a fantastic programme for use around the house but I'm nervous about relying on it again in a live situation.
Would rather spend a bit of a cash on a 'battle-tested' unit at this stage as the last thing I need while playing live is to be self-conscious about my tuning.
