Just in case it's slipped anyone's attention, here's a link to the latest shenanigans from the Gartcosh Brethren Of The Bar

Live takes, no EQ, no compression and only the effects that came from the amps. A most enjoyable exercise
Hope you like it.

Nice!

Thank you Steve. looks like the rest of the steel guitar population have decided not to comment, good or bad. 83 visits 1 comment I know how you feel JD. Donny.

Danny does it yet again, great job Mr Mitchell.
Anyone who hasn't given this a listen is missing out on something.
The introductions alone are worth the effort.
You have got a fantastic sense of humour Danny, I really do appreciate it, and all you do for the SSGW.

Asleep at the wheel

Danny I was very impressed again with the quality of the material. I especially enjoyed " until I gain control again " which is a favourite particularly when it was on the programme with Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes. It's a pity that the meetings are so far from here as there is certainly some great work being produced. Finally is there any chance of a copy of the backing track for this song? Regards to you all, Harry.

On behalf of the Brethren, thank you for the kind words Harry Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes, Davy did a fantastic job on that tune. It's a great song, melodically and lyrically. Check your inbox Davy's MSA was recorded straight out of his Telonics pre-amp, a tremendous piece of kit.

Harry, if you go to the news thread and look for Almost Live, In Gartcosh. SSGW CD, you'll find a link to all the backing tracks. Regards, Donny.

Thanks Donny and Danny. This years challenge is now sorted.
